OUTDOOR SCULPTURAL THRONE

The Capstone project is like our thesis to complete our undergraduate degree education for Industrial Design. The design prompt, was outdoor furniture in a post-pandemic world. I believe after a global crisis comes a renaissance. I wanted to mask the panic and hysteria the pandemic brought with social distancing mandates by disguising separation with isolation and privacy. I resolved this concept with a throne that stands alone, and not in serial fashion.

This also pays homage to the Rowena Reed Kostellow Methodology that the 3D curriculum is founded on.
